課程概述

Biology is fundamentally multi-scale, in that it shows different types of behaviour at different length scales. In this course, we will consider a multi-scale approach to biomechanics. Starting with the fundamental governing equations, we will provide a framework with which to tackle a wide range of practical problems and illustrate this in both health and disease in a number of different body organs and diseases. 

課程目標
To gain a thorough understanding of models of biomechanics, using a comprehensive multi-scale approach from first principles and to illustrate this through numerous practical applications.

Basic calculus, up to solutions to ODEs and PDEs.
